The Tale of TG

Since July 2021, ThreadGoldz has been committed to creating unique one-of-one streetwear pieces that stretch the bounds of creativity through hand+machine embroidery, upcycled+handmade clothing, and sustainability through waste diversion. ThreadGoldz specializes in creating Bucket hats, Vests, Pants, Jackets, Necklaces, rings, and screen-printed garments. ThreadGoldz is Black-owned and operated.

The vast majority of the fabric and jewelry materials used in the production of ThreadGoldz pieces are thrifted, upcycled, and primarily locally sourced. Threadgoldz is based in White Center, WA, and operates regionally, from Bellingham to Tacoma. Threadgoldz operates primarily online, at local events and markets, and does not have a brick and mortar location. YET.

"Abdul Malik is the attire engineer behind @threadgoldz : Black-owned and Black-made clothing and accessories withcreativity, power, and confidence! Abdul-Malik has a degree in sustainable business and his concern for environmental impact is central to the design process behind Threadgoldz. These clothes and accessories will impact anyplace you wear them because Abdul-Malik creates clothes and accessories that are transformative and dynamic. He has amagnetic presence and many non-sewing hidden talents (he can do a front flip while dancing on roller skates!). Connecting with the energy of each piece he makes gives you a window into a life lived with individuality, expressiveness, and fun."
